Dear Sarah,

Thank you for the message directed to our website. We are very happy to support the worthwhile work that C.A.R.M clearly does in the Romney Marsh community.

You may be wondering how the donation came about. We have recently had as one of our guest speakers Pat Argar who resides on the Marsh and gives talks and lectures about history and literature. Instead of the speaker fee we normally pay, she requested a donation for your organisation with whose work she is familiar. We were happy to fulfill her request.

Best wishes for continued success with the local community.

Haydon Luke

Chair, Fairlight History Group

Dear Haydon,

Thank you for your email and for confirming how the donation came about.  Please thank Pat for nominating us to receive such a very kind donation and all those involved in fulfilling her request.

All donations received by CARM are gratefully received and are used towards the provision of services to older people who are lonely or socially isolated across the Romney Marsh, Tenterden and the surrounding rural areas.  Your donation will help us to continue delivering these valuable and much loved services across our area.

Thank you once again, on behalf of everyone involved with CARM.

With my best wishes,

Sarah
